The Invacare MicroAIR Alternating Pressure Mattress Systems are a powered alternating pressure mattress replacement designed to aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers (bed sores). The MA95Z reduces interface pressure by alternately inflating and deflating 24 individual 10-inch air cell bladders.

Patients with immobility or perceptual problems who remain bedridden for extended periods can develop open sores at points where the weight of the body compresses the skin, often under bony prominences like the hips or shoulders. These sores are called pressure ulcers.

The alternating pressure mattress replacement system helps in pressure ulcer treatment and management by shifting pressure to different parts of the body in a repeating cycle, which prevents any body area from being under pressure all the time.

  • New wireless fowler technology, real time pressure monitoring and energy conserving power units combine to make MicroAIR therapeutic support surfaces the most efficient and dynamic support surfaces in the market
  • Digitally controlled constant pressure monitoring maintains recommended therapy
  • Pressure reduction helps the caregiver to prevent and treat Stage I to Stage IV pressure ulcers and promote capillary circulation
  • Horizontal configuration of 24, 10" air bladders, 3" side bolsters and a 2" foam safety pad combine to create a full depth 16" pressure reducing mattress replacement system
  • Fits most standard hospital beds
  • Unique Z-cell bladder design allows for gentle, subtle patient movement and pressure relief treatment
  • Lateral rotation is smooth and subtle with patented z-cell bladder that turns patient up to 45 degrees
  • Unique and patented designs of the power unit combine comfort and technology for patient relief and inspire caregiver confidence
  • Control panel is designed with icons to provide easy, intuitive operation for caregivers
  • 1275 LPM blower unit has alarm, alarm silence, and lock out features
  • Lateral turning mode available in rotation times between 5 minutes to 4 hours
  • Max Inflate mode for patient transfers
