4 Wheel Walkers
Four wheels for best maneuverability, seat for resting & hand brakes or weight activated brakes
Four wheel walkers and rollators have many advantages over most two or three wheel walkers because they have the added features of a seat for resting and four wheels for improved maneuverability. The front wheels swivel for ease of turning without having to lift the walker. Four wheel rolling walkers and rollators have either locking hand brakes or spring-loaded push-down brakes to help control the walker's movement. Push-down, weight-activated brakes are preferred for users with impaired memory or hand dexterity when squeezing a hand brake is difficult. Features also include adjustable height handles to fit individual needs, folding frame for portability, and a basket or carry bag for personal belongings. However, rollators can differ greatly in size, weight, color, weight capacity, brake type, design, wheel size and basket or tote bag size.
