Transport Wheelchairs

Travel & companion wheelchairs with choice of steel, lightweight aluminum, removable arms & more

Transport wheelchairs are perfect when you need to pack up and transport to another location.

All transport wheelchairs (also known as travel or companion chairs) fold for storage and transportation and include removable, swing-away footrests. Transport wheelchairs are designed to be pushed by someone from behind the chair (attendant operated). They are advantageous to a manual, or standard, wheelchair in that they can weigh up to 25 pounds lighter, making it easier for picking up and transportation. Additional features may include chairs that offer multiple seat widths, fixed arm or removable arms, lightweight aluminum frame, elevating leg rests, frame color, larger wheel size and with or without hand brakes.

Shipping is free in the Continental USA for all commodes and other products. Please contact us if you require shipping to Alaska or Hawaii.

What if I don't like it? What is your return policy?
Some products by law cannot be returned for hygienic reasons. For all others, we offer a 30-day return policy on most products. Damaged product may be returned and exchanged at no cost to you. All others will be shipped at the customer’s expense to the least costly location. A 15-20% restocking fee will also apply depending on the item. See our Policy page for more information.

You said you will match price if I found a cheaper price elsewhere. What do I need to do to get that low price?
Thank you for wanting to do business with us! This is explained in detail on our Policy page. First though, we like to advise customers that there may be hidden costs at other shopping sites such as shipping or tax. Or perhaps what you're looking at may not include options we include. Be sure you are comparing apples to oranges!

Do you bill Medicare?
In order to keep our costs down and offer greatly reduced prices, ADHME does not bill any insurance company. However, for certain products that Medicare may partially reimburse on a purchase (i.e., commodes, lift chairs, walkers and rollators), we do provide a detailed paid invoice which will include any product HCPCS billing codes. We suggest checking with your private insurance company about possible reimbursement from them with your paid receipt.

We guarantee LOWEST PRICE and FREE SHIPPING on all our products!

    Steel Transport Wheelchairs

Steel transport wheelchairs weigh more than aluminum wheelchairs, fold for storage and travel

All of the transport wheelchairs, also known as travel or companion chairs, fold for storage and transportation and include removable, swing-away footrests. • Lightweight Aluminum Transport Wheelchairs

    Lightweight Aluminum Transport Wheelchairs

Lighter weight frame with more arm styles, wheel sizes and frame colors than steel transport chairs

Their lightweight frame make these the most popular line of transport wheelchairs! Aluminum frame transport wheelchairs can weigh as little as 16 pounds, making it easier for picking up, folding and transportation. The larger 12" rear wheels on some models allow for a more stable ride over rougher surfaces. Some transport chairs may also have attendant operated hand brakes on the push handles so the attendant has more control of the speed of the chair, especially when traveling down hill. All of the transport wheelchairs, also known as travel or companion chairs, fold for storage and transportation and include removable, swing-away footrests.

  • Removable Arm Transport Wheelchairs

    Removable Arm Transport Wheelchairs

Removable or flip back arms help facilitate side transfers on and off transport chair

Transport wheelchairs, or companion chairs, are designed to be pushed by someone from behind the chair (attendant operated). Removable, or detachable, arm transport wheelchairs weigh up to 20 pounds lighter than manual and lightweight wheelchairs, making it easier for picking up, folding and transporting. The removable, detachable or flip back armrests allow for easier side transfers on and off the chair. The larger 12" rear wheels on some models allow for a more stable ride over rougher surfaces. These same transport chairs may also feature attendant operated hand brakes on the push handles so the attendant has more control of the wheelchair and multiple seat widths and frame colors for a more custom fit for the individual. All models include a folding frame for storage and transportation and removable, swing-away footrests.
