What is a mobility scooter?
A mobility scooter is a motorized wheeled cart, Power Operated Vehicle (POV) or Personal Mobility Vehicle (PMV) with an electric motor, powered by rechargeable batteries, designed to help the elderly and the disabled regain their freedom, confidence and independence inside and outside the home. They are generally referred to as motorized scooters, electric scooters, or power scooters, but motorized scooters have the specific focus on helping people regain their mobility.
What is included in each motorized mobility scooter?
Each medical electric scooter comes complete with a battery charger and deep cycle type rechargeable batteries. The adjustable height seat and adjustable angle tiller provide comfortable arm and shoulder positioning. The tiller head includes a removable key, speed control dial, and an LED battery gauge. Additional features may include adjustable height and width armrests, front basket, head and rear lights, and/or frame disassembly for easy transportation and portability.
