Innerspring & Foam Mattresses
Innerpring mattresses are your low-cost option. They the best choice for patients who can roll over on their own, are not significantly over or underweight, and do not spend a significant amount of time in bed.

An innerspring mattress with a foam top is a good choice for patients who can roll over on their own, even if they spend a significant amount of time in bed. We carry anti-bacterial and water-resistant innerspring hospital bed mattresses.

Multi-layer mattresses are best for those who spend most of their time in bed, or who cannot shift position independently. The Invacare Softform Excel and Premier mattresses and Mason ShearCare mattresses are some examples of the high quality, multi-layered foam mattresses we sell that are made to help prevent bed sores based on their construction.

Air Mattresses
Air mattresses is your best choice for comfort. This mattress is best for those who spend most of their time in bed, who cannot shift position independently, and who want or need the optimum in comfort.

Alternating Pressure, Low Air Loss and Lateral Rotation (turning) or lateral rotating air mattresses are designed to aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers (also called bed sores) and are perfect for hospital beds.

Mattress Overlays
Alternating pressure pads and gel foam mattress overlays are a less expensive alternative to air mattresses and attach to an existing hospital bed mattress.

However, for certain products that Medicare may partially reimburse on a purchase (i.e., commodes, lift chairs, walkers and rollators), we do provide a detailed paid invoice which will include any product HCPCS billing codes. We suggest checking with your private insurance company about possible reimbursement from them with your paid receipt.

  • Innerspring & Foam Mattresses

    Innerspring & Foam Mattresses

Innerspring, foam & pressure redistribution foam mattresses made to prevent bed sores

A good hospital bed mattress will redistribute body pressure points to prevent bed sores

Foam hospital bed mattresses will vary greatly based on their effectiveness at preventing pressure ulcers (bed sores) by redistributing the body's pressure points and allowing air flow to the body. The Invacare Softform Excel and Premier mattress and Mason ShearCare mattresses are some examples of a high quality, foam mattress made to help prevent bed sores based on its construction. The exact mattress to choose from can be confusing, but it is primarily based on how susceptible the user is to getting pressure ulcers, which is usually based on how much of the time the user is laying in the bed.

Low Air Loss • Alternating Pressure Air Mattresses • Lateral Rotate • Turning • Eliminate Bed Sores

These therapeutic, pressure relief air mattresses are a complete mattress system that replace the existing mattress on the bed.

The Invacare, Probasics, Lumex and Drive Medical air mattress replacement systems are all designed to aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers (also called bed sores) by means of:

    • Alternating Pressure - Air cells alternately inflate and deflate allowing redistribution of weight and pressure points
    • Low Air Loss - Helps maintain dry, aerated sleeping surface preventing body heat build up
    • True Low Air Loss - Increased air flow through air cells & cover onto body
    • Lateral Rotation - Turns patient side to side to set angle during set time cycle

All methods offer pressure relief and improved air circulation by either weight redistribution and/or allowing air to reach the body, preventing heat build up.

  • Mattress Overlays

    Mattress Overlays

Alternating pressure overlay & gel foam overlays lay on top of a mattress to help prevent bed sores

Pressure Relief Mattress Overlays • Alternating Pressure Pads & Mattress • APP, Foam & Gel Therapy Overlay

Alternating Pressure Pads and foam or gel mattress overlays are a less costly alternative to mattress replacement systems and attach to an existing hospital style bed mattress. The alternating pressure pad systems are designed to aid in the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers (also called bed sores) by alternately inflating and deflating air cells in the mattress overlay or pad in a regular cyclical pattern. This offers pressure relief and improved air circulation; allowing air to reach the skin and preventing sweat build up. Some overlays also include Low Air Loss therapy which helps prevent and treat pressure ulcers by maintaining an aerated, dry sleeping surface which in turn prevents skin moisture build up between the body and mattress. Recommended for the elderly, infirm and handicapped.
