Our resident product expert and CEO, Matthew, has hand-selected these hospital bed sets to save you time shopping, eliminate the overwhelm and confusion over what to buy, and SAVE YOU MONEY! In each set, you have a choice of 3-4 mattresses to meet the needs of 4 different types of patients:
1) Those who spend minimal or temporary time in the hospital bed;
2) Those who spend at least 12 hours per every 24 hour cycle in the hospital bed;
3) Those for heavier patients and/or confined to the hospital bed for most of every 24 hour cycle;
4) Air mattress with pump for those confined to the bed and/or highly susceptible to bed sores.
Basically, the more expensive the mattress the better it is made for preventing bed sores because of the length of time spent in the hospital bed. As long as you choose the right level for your comfort and length of need, you can be confident that you will be very pleased with the quality of the product. They would not have made their way into Matthew's selection if they didn't meet his criteria.
What you should look for in a bed frame
Hospital beds are perfect for home healthcare and come in a variety of styles and sizes based on their electrical capabilities, size and user weight capacity.
Your bed frame choices are:
- Full Electric - Electric head, foot and bed height control
- Semi Electric - Electric head and foot control, manual bed height
- Manual - Crank adjusts head, foot and bed height manually
- Heavy Duty (Bariatric) - Full electric, at least 42" wide and 500 lb. weight capacity
