The stand up lift, or standing lift, was conceived to help reduce the possibility of caregiver back injury and to ensure dignity in patient handling from a seated to standing position for patients who can put weight on their feet. Each high-quality stand up lift is reliable and an integral tool for staff and caregivers. A manual, hydraulic stand up lift is operated by a manual pump lever which raises the boom (hanger) and sling. A battery powered, or electric, standing lift operates by a hand control which is powered by a rechargeable battery.
