The patient lift was conceived to help reduce the possibility of caregiver back injury and to ensure dignity in patient handling for non-weight bearing patients. Each high-quality patient lift is reliable and an integral tool for staff and caregivers when transferring from bed to chair or vice versa. A manual, hydraulic patient lift is operated by a manual pump lever which raises the boom (hanger) and sling. A battery powered, or electric, patient lift operates by a hand control which is powered by a rechargeable battery.
