Unique (optional) Mattress Design for Optimal Flexibility
The Golden Passport's mattress provides comfort and support to ensure a restful night's sleep. The memory foam mattress is made of three layers of foam for solid support paired with the soft luxurious feel of memory foam. It features a unique transfer edge, a 3" firm block of foam that runs the length of the mattress, which provides stability for safe transfers when entering and exiting the bed.

- 2" top layer - GelFlex foam that helps to keep you cool while you sleep
- 2" middle layer - firmer than the top layer with great rebound to enhance the supportive feel of the mattress
- 6" base layer - Very firm core foam engineered to contour perfect to the Golden Passport's adjustable base, making sleep more comfortable than other memory foam mattresses. Firm, full body support allows you to easily turn over at night and helps to maintain your mobility when transferring in and out of bed.

All work is done by a local service center approved by Golden to service the item.

Does Medicare cover hi low adjustable beds?
Medicare may cover adjustable beds as a durable medical equipment rental or purchase if you have a documented medical need for it. Medicare Part B medical insurance may cover a portion of the cost if your doctor prescribes an adjustable bed for your medical condition and why an adjustable bed is necessary instead of a hospital or homecare bed.
According to the eligibility requirements, the bed may be a medical necessity if a person needs:
- positioning to relieve pain or promote body alignment
- positioning in a way that improves respiratory function
- special attachments, such as traction devices, that it is not possible to attach to a traditional bed
Your doctor must describe the person’s condition, diagnosis and prognosis to explain why the adjustable bed is medically necessary over a hospital or homecare bed.
