The clip system is what enables the lift’s versatility — particularly for car transfers — but it means the lift only works with Proactive Medical’s own clip sling. Foldable Frame — Built to Go

Like the Protekt Take-A-Long 33400P, the All-In-One folds for car transport and storage. At 94.2 lbs it is slightly heavier than the Take-A-Long, but the car transfer capability it adds makes it a different product for a different situation. If car transfers are not part of your care routine and portability is the main priority, the Take-A-Long’s 87.3 lb weight and 6-point bar may be a better fit.

The 33350 operates at just 11db with no load and 16db under full load — quieter than a whisper in a library. For patients who are anxious about the lift or sensitive to noise, this is a meaningful detail. LCD Display Panel — Always Know Your Status

The control unit includes an LCD display that shows battery level and alerts you to overload conditions before they become a problem. A blinking low battery indicator with audible beep warns you when charging is needed. An overload warning immediately deactivates lifting if the weight limit is approached, while still allowing the patient to be safely lowered.

Choosing the right sling size depends on the patient’s weight, height, body shape, posture, and support needs. The chart below provides general manufacturer sizing guidelines, but it should not replace professional guidance when patient safety or fit is uncertain.

Some sling styles may not be available in every size. For example, a Small size may be available in certain Proactive Medical sling styles but not in the specific sling options offered with this lift. Because weight ranges overlap, the best size is not always obvious from weight alone. A taller, slimmer patient and a shorter, broader patient may need different sling sizes even if they weigh about the same. Is this a Hoyer lift?

Hoyer is a brand name that has become a common term for any full-body electric patient lift — similar to how Kleenex is used for tissue. The Protekt All-In-One 33350 is a Proactive Medical electric patient lift that does everything most people mean when they say Hoyer lift, and then some: it uses a sling and spreader bar to safely lift and transfer a patient who cannot bear weight on their own, and it adds car-transfer capability that most lifts — including Hoyer-brand lifts — don’t offer.

Can I use my existing slings with this lift?

No — the 33350 uses a proprietary clip-on sling system that is not compatible with standard hook slings from other lifts or manufacturers. The clip-on divided leg sling is available in Medium, Large, and Extra Large and can be selected at checkout. This is an important consideration if you already own slings from another lift — they will not work here.

How exactly does the car transfer work?

The 33350’s dynamic spreader bar is designed to position the patient precisely in the confined space of a car seat or door opening. The clip-on sling stays on the patient during the transfer. Will Medicare pay for this patient lift?

Medicare covers manual hydraulic patient lifts as durable medical equipment, but not electric lifts. If you're set on an electric lift, there's a path worth knowing about: Medicare may reimburse you for what it would have paid toward a comparable manual lift, and you pay the difference. The catch is that any Medicare benefit requires the purchase to go through a Medicare-enrolled DMEPOS supplier — which ADHME is not. If maximizing your Medicare benefit is the priority, we'd recommend going that route instead.

Private insurance: Many private insurers cover electric patient lifts when prescribed as medically necessary by a physician. ADHME doesn't bill insurance directly, but provides a detailed paid invoice with the HCPCS code that you can submit to your private insurer for reimbursement.
